  1. Do I need to know a lot about computers to run DINE Healthy software?

    You will need to be familiar with navigating Microsoft Windows, but no advanced computer or nutritional knowledge is necessary to use DINE Healthy. The software includes a tutorial, context-sensitive help system and help balloons to aid you in getting started.

  2. I am having trouble finding foods in the food search. Any suggestions?

    Typically, your search string should include any keywords first; followed by the type of food you are entering (e.g. whole wheat bread, skim milk, decaf folgers coffee). This enables the software to narrow your search results down to the most likely food groups. If this does not locate the food, try clicking 'Search' with the search string blank. Then narrow your results by searching on one word at a time in the results window.

  3. How do you print the DINE Healthy 5 or DINE Healthy 6 analysis reports?

    Locate the 'Report' menu in the upper left corner of the analysis report you are trying to print. Click the dropdown and select 'Print Report' or 'Save as PDF' from the menu.

  4. When I try to print the DINE Graph Analysis in DINE Healthy 6 I get a syntax error. What is wrong?

    This issue occurs when the Name field in the User Profile contains an apostrophe. Removing the apostrophe from the Name field will resolve the problem and allow the Graph to print.

  5. Why are some foods that are no longer on the market still in the database?

    As food items slip into obscurity or become unavailable, they are allowed to remain in the database for a period of time so that old food records can still be analyzed accurately.

  6. Why are percentages not displayed on some DINE Healthy 6 Pie Charts?

    This can occur when the Pie Chart is displayed for a User Food or Recipe that does not have a gram weight value. Enter a non-zero weight for the User Food or Recipe, and the Pie Chart should display percentages correctly.

  7. How do I upgrade my version of DINE Healthy?

    You can upgrade within a full version by clicking Check for Updates in the Help menu of your DINE Healthy software program. Otherwise, click here to calculate the cost based upon the version you have or contact our Sales department at 800-688-1848 for an upgrade quote.
