DINE Healthy 6 - Licensing and Installation

DINE Healthy licensing is available for Standalone and Client Server installations to allow our customers broader control over how the software is accessed. A Standalone license controls the number of physical machines on which the software can be installed, whereas a Client Server license refers to the number of machines that can access the software concurrently.

For example, an individual having the Single Station Standalone installed on his/her home computer would need to purchase an additional copy to use the software at work or on a laptop. This is because the Single Station Standalone license grants use of the DINE Healthy software to a single computer. In the event that a licensed computer is replaced, or you wish to install the software on a different machine, it must first be uninstalled from the original computer.

In contrast, Client Server licenses are not machine specific. The software is activated on the server and individual client installations do not require activation. For example, a teacher using the 35 Station Client Server may have the Client software installed on more than 35 computers, but the server will only allow 35 computers to access the software at a time. With this type of installation, the software can be installed on each station in a computer lab without violating the Client Server license, allowing for greater flexibility with student access and seating.
