DINE Systems, Inc. - Leading the Way Since 1982DINE Systems, Inc. has a record of continuous achievement and growth since its founding in 1982. The flagship product, DINE Healthy, has always been rated one of the top four nutrient analysis products for both the education and consumer markets. DINE Healthy was used by the National Center for Nutrition and Dietetics on their hot line, it was selected by the Center for Science in the Public Interest for distribution, and is endorsed by the American Association for Health Education. InnovationDINE Systems continues to be innovative. We released the first micro-based nutrient analysis program in 1982. DINE Systems was the first company to impute nutrient values and have the first no missing values database in 1984. We published the first Microsoft Windows version of diet improvement software in 1988. PatentedA premier feature of DINE software is the composite scoring systems that have been the focus of our research over the last 20 years. The DINE Score, an Index of Healthy Eating, indicates how well or how poorly a person is eating based upon the achievement of national guidelines. These composite scoring systems were patented in May 1995 (US Patent #5412560) and are used as a standard for the evaluation of food choice behavior. National Nutrient Databank ConferenceAlso in 1995, DINE Systems introduced the first pictured food database on CD ROM. The same year, we hosted the National Nutrient Data Bank Conference that was sponsored, in part, by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Pyramid Challenge: The CD ROM Healthy Eating Guide was funded in part by the USDA and launched in 1996. Extensively FundedFrom 1990 to 1996, DINE Systems has received over 3.5 million dollars from the National Institutes of Health, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the New York State Science and Technology Foundation to develop and evaluate our products. Better And BetterDINE Systems received the Excellence in Software Development award from Media and Methods, in 1996. In 1997 we released two software updates...DINE Healthy 3 and Pyramid Challenge 2. In 1998, we published the Improve Your Nutrition and Health text. In 2003, DINE Healthy 4 and the electronic book Eating and Fitness Excellence were released. In 2005, DINE Healthy 5 was released, the DINE Healthy Curriculum guide was revised, and slides and lab activities were developed for use with the software. Continuous Updating And ImprovementFebruary 1, 2007, we released DINE Healthy 6, which includes many enhancements as the result of feedback from our valued users. Also this year, the Eating and Fitness Excellence Book was updated to correspond with the latest version of the software.
